Framingham, MA (February 22, 2007) – Insightix, the developer of complete, real-time and agentless network discovery and network access control solutions, today announced that its Insightix Discovery and Insightix NAC solutions provide support the Microsoft Network Access Protection initiative.

Insightix NAC delivers complete and real-time network access control, ensuring that only authorized and compliant devices are allowed to access and operate on the network. Insightix NAC supports Microsoft’s Network Access Protection technology by maintaining a comprehensive inventory of all elements connected to the network, including all Windows-based computers, and allowing for enforcement against all devices on the network. Insightix NAC’s rule-based policy engine provides a straightforward and easy-to-understand approach to defining and enforcing a network access control policy.

Microsoft Network Access Protection is a policy enforcement technology built into the Windows Vista and Windows Server, codenamed “Longhorn” operating systems that allows customers to better protect network assets from unhealthy computers by enforcing compliance with network health policies. Microsoft’s Network Access Protection technology is publicly available with Windows Vista, and available to select partners and customers with Beta 2 of the future version of Windows Server, codename “Longhorn.”

Insightix NAC also provides comprehensive network access control for non-Windows-based hosts, printers, routers, switches and unmanaged laptops used by contractors or guests.

Insightix NAC simplifies the rollout of network access controls. Insightix NAC utilizes unique blocking and quarantine techniques that remove dependencies on switches. Insightix NAC is completely agentless and does not require network changes, specialized software or hardware or extended deployment efforts
